Her own transformative experience with chiropractic care began at age 10 when she suffered from debilitating headaches, migraines, and other serious symptoms despite seeing numerous specialists. It was a pharmacist who suggested chiropractic treatment, which ultimately changed her life. During her first visit, the chiropractor identified her issues through spinal assessments, explaining how misalignments were affecting her health. With consistent care, she gradually reduced her medication and reclaimed her life, inspiring her lifelong mission to provide the same relief to others.
As Maine's only Chiropractor Board Certified in Pediatrics, holding a Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics (DICCP) through the ICA, Dr. Sasseville is committed to specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents. She uses a diverse range of techniques—manual adjusting, flexion-distraction, activator methods, and the Webster technique for breech pregnancies—to tailor her approach to each patient's needs. Her expertise spans pediatrics, women’s health, geriatrics, and nutrition, reflecting her dedication to comprehensive, family-centered care.
Dr. Sasseville has been a member of the Maine Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Association since 2003, and she participated in the American Chiropractic Association from 2013 to 2015. She has received numerous awards, including the Maine Chiropractor of the Year in 2024 and the President’s Award in 2012, both from the Maine Chiropractic Association, as well as the Lewiston Leadership Award for her community dedication in 2022. Additionally, she served as a National Board Examiner from 2018 to 2022, contributing to the development of Part III and IV exams.
When she’s not empowering her patients, Dr. Sasseville loves spending quality time with her family in Lewiston, ME. Whether it's jogging, hiking, skiing, or traveling with her husband and kids, she treasures every moment together. Passionate about her community, she served on the State Licensing Board for 9+ years and is actively involved with organizations like the MCA, Chamber of Commerce, ICPA, and ICA. Her commitment to the next generation inspired her to create and organize Kids Day (2004-2019), a charitable event benefiting New Beginnings and promoting health and wellness for local youth. At home, she enjoys the company of her three dogs, chickens, and a bunny, making every day a new adventure!
Dr. Sasseville's journey from patient to provider fuels her passion for chiropractic care, ensuring every patient receives the compassionate and effective treatment she once found so transformative.
